Hello, I’m Jamie your chair yoga teacher. I am looking forward to connecting with you.
I have helped hundreds of people feel more confident and happy as well as more stable on their feet by the wonderful tools chair yoga offers.

Thank you for today’s session. The purpose breathing, stretches and poses are so beneficial to the system, relaxing and energising. My joints are less tense. I gained/learnt a lot from this session.
What is Chair Yoga?
Chair Yoga is a gentle and easy style of yoga that you can do sitting in a chair and using the chair for support. We will build on Strengthening, toning, stretching & balance as well bringing through a sense of calm and peace from the breathing techniques we will give you.
This online class is perfect for anyone that feels a little unsteady on their feet or has limited mobility. Having a steady base to work from means you will feel more secure and confident at all times.
Online chair yoga is perfect for:
- Anyone housebound
- People with disabilities
- Larger men and women
- Anyone recovering from injury
- Anyone that may feel intimidated by the usual yoga class
In this online class, we will look at breathing techniques, guided meditations, grounding exercises, as well as movements to help stretch, strengthen and tone the body. These methods increase mobility and decrease the likelihood of falls.
One week we may focus on the upper body, and another on full-body, depending on the type of ability we have in the class.

What you will need:
- An electronic device to access the online class. i.e: a smartphone, tablet or computer
- A Zoom account to join the class. If you don’t have Zoom, click here to see how to install on your device
- Blankets, pillows, weights (to use as a prop), a yoga strap or belt (optional)
How to join:
- Choose the chair yoga subscription and pay via the bookings page. Or if it’s your first class try for free with coupon code: FIRSTFREE
- Chair yoga currently runs every Monday at 12:30 pm
- Fill in the required questions on the booking page; it’s important we have an understanding of your abilities.
- Log into your Zoom account on the day of the class. Aim to be there at least 5 minutes before the start time.
Is this class suitable for me?
This class is for anyone that has limited mobility and can not get up and down from the floor easily. The majority of the class will be done from your chair, but some ability to move around and stand would be useful. If you’re unsure about this, please get in touch with us.
Can I come to gentle yoga as well?
Yes, you can come to gentle yoga as well. If you buy 2 packages there is a 20% discount applied.
Do I need a computer to take the classes?
You do need a device, whether that be a computer, tablet, or smartphone. You will also need to have the application zoom downloaded, as this what we use for the class.

what happens after the free class?
You will be sent an email to see if you would like to join the classes reguarly.
It is a subcription based service offering 1x class per week (if you can’t make a particular week, you can switch and come to gentle yoga instead (if you have the ability) just email us to arrange this.
