About Wellness Moves

While the likes of Joe Wicks/ The Body Coach are receiving OBEs for exercising services rendered to the public, there has been less recognition for the minority sectors that equally need help to keep moving and stay motivated.
Including but not limited to; the Black-Asian minority ethnicity (BAME) community, people with disabilities or obesity, those with limited movement or underlying health issues and the senior community.

Wellness Moves is part of the activities section of the Holly Foundation charity here to enable this section of the population to benefit from the exercise services of yoga, breathwork, meditation and one-to-one wellness coaching.

The Team

Mabel – CEO

Mabel was born in Africa and then moved to the UK where she decided to further her education at South Bank University. Unfortunately, in her first year she suffered brain trauma which severely debilitated her and in turn, was left wheelchair-bound and almost died.

On top of this, her daughter Holly became seriously ill and was hospitalised, just a day away from her GCSE’s. Mabel likens this experience to a tsunami and tornado coming at her all at once. Very sadly Holly passed due sickle cell anaemia.

This life challenge was huge, but she did not give up.
From this, the “Holly Foundation” sickle cell charity was borne and now her second venture Wellness moves.

As a passionate people person, Mabel found her joy once again through exercise. She loves to share information with people so that they can apply it and improve their own lives.

Mabel stands by the three D’s – Desire, Dedication & Determination.

Jamie’s background is in performance and dance and has been lucky enough to tour the world doing what he loved.

He teaches yoga in some of London’s top studios and works with clients privately too. He focuses on alleviating chronic illness and disability through the means of yoga, breathwork and one to one coaching.

He is thrilled to be part of Wellness Moves and can’t wait to start working with you.
